What to Do When the Tyre Sensor is Not Working on a Ford Fiesta
Model: Ford Fiesta
- Years 2008-2017
Video tutorial
Detailed instructions - The issue in this video is that the TPMS sensor on this 2015 Ford Fiesta is not being detected and the light remains on. Attempts have already been made to relearn it, but the procedure gets stuck at the first sensor: this is a common problem with this version. Let's look at the correct learning mode: after inflating all the tyres to the pressure indicated by Ford, turn the ignition on and off three times, ending in the 'ON' position. Press and release the brake pedal, then turn off the ignition. Now turn the ignition on and off again, finishing in the 'ON' position. At this point, the horn should sound once, indicating that the learning mode is active. The display may show 'train LF tire' (train left front tyre). If the sensor does not respond, it means the sensor's battery is dead or the tool used for training is not powerful enough. The YouTuber 'tricked' it by buying a new sensor to complete the procedure and check that the other three are still functioning. However, it should be noted that if one of the sensors is dead (considering they activate all together), it may be advisable to replace all four at once.
