How to Replace the Key Battery on a Ford Focus

Using a small flathead screwdriver, begin by unclipping and removing the cover of your Ford Focus key. This will give you access to the physical key, which you will need to remove. Once done, insert the tip of the screwdriver into the slot you have uncovered and pry it open. Once you have pried it open, you will have successfully opened the key fob in two, allowing you to access the dead battery, which you will need to extract. Once you have completed this step, you can remove the battery, finishing the disassembly. To fit the new battery, simply repeat this procedure in reverse, and you will have completed the replacement.
