A really cheap method to build a practical windsurfing rack for a Ford Transit. The cost does not exceed 50 euros: You only need "T" supports and aluminum profiles, some round foam rubber, and black rubber caps. In addition, you need some skill to bend the screws that will serve as support on the roof of the Ford Transit. But let's follow our friendly surfers: cut the pipe to size according to our needs, it should be the length of the board on one side and long enough on the other side to prevent it from escaping from its housing, but not too long to make insertion difficult. The thickness should be enough to fit it with its case; it should not have too much play. At the bottom, we will put the foam rubber to protect the board. Now we will join the two pieces to be able to mount them on the roof of the Transit, using the "T" connectors. We will join them at two points to make it rigid enough. We will attach them to the roof bars with rather long "U" screws, so that we can tighten them well. Now it's time to load the windsurf board. We will secure it with straps that we will attach to the roof bar. Job done.
