To change the motor oil of a Harley Davidson Softail Heritage, start by warming up the engine for a few minutes so that the oil becomes more fluid and can be drained more easily. Park the motorcycle on a flat and stable surface. Place a tray under the oil drain plug, located at the bottom of the engine. Unscrew the drain plug with a wrench and let the used oil drain completely into the container. Once the oil has been completely drained, screw the drain plug back in, making sure it is tightly secured. Fill the oil tank with the quantity and type of oil recommended by the motorcycle manual. After adding the new oil, start the engine for a few minutes and check for any leaks.
