You can replace the front brake pads on an Harley Davidson Softail by loosening the screws that secure the front brake caliper to its housing. Once the screws are loosened, detach the caliper and remove the pin that holds the pads in place. This will allow you to completely extract the old pads and insert the new ones: then secure them with the pin and reposition the caliper onto the disc. Tighten the screws to ensure the brake functions correctly.
