It is recommended to use about 3 liters of 20W-50 oil. Run the bike for a few minutes to heat the lubricant and make it more liquid. Unscrew the lower drain plug of the engine oil compartment, as shown in the video. Also free the filling hole to avoid vacuum and facilitate the exit of the lubricant. While collecting the used oil in a pan, change the o-ring of the drain plug. Close the lower hole and load the oil from the upper hole. It is advisable, before the winter break, to fill the tank with petrol or otherwise to use a stabilizer.

We see below the step-by-step instructions that will allow us to replace the engine oil, carrying out the routine maintenance service, of the Sym Jet 14 150 scooter. First of all we put the central stand to our scooter and start unscrewing the oil vent bolt which we find under the engine, letting it drain in a container for about ten minutes; then we clean the vent plug thoroughly before screwing it on. Now unscrew the filler screw and top up again, using the oil with the right characteristics (indicated in the use and maintenance booklet).
