It is recommended to use approximately 3 litres of 20W-50 oil. Start the bike for a few minutes to warm the lubricant and make it more fluid. Unscrew the lower drain plug of the engine oil sump, as shown in the video. Also, open the fill hole to avoid a vacuum and facilitate the outflow of the lubricant. While collecting the used oil in a container, change the O-ring of the drain plug. Close the lower hole and fill the oil from the upper hole. It is advisable, before the winter break, to fill the petrol tank or alternatively use a stabiliser.

How to replace the engine oil in the Ducati Monster S2R 1000?

In this tutorial we can see how to replace the motor oil in the Ducati Monster S2R 1000, an extremely simple and fast operation. First of all, make sure that the engine is cold enough, then place a container underneath it, locate the drain plug and unscrew it using a hex key. Next, unscrew the cap of the secondary filter, remove it and clean it from any dirt residue. At this point, all that remains is to unscrew the main filter, tighten the replacement, reassemble everything and pour in the new oil through the appropriate hole.
