Warm up the engine for a few minutes to aid in the subsequent oil removal. Unscrew the drain bolt located under the engine bay and collect the used oil in a container. Use a 17 mm socket to unscrew the oil filter and allow it to drain to clean the area where it is fitted. Remove the filter from its housing and give it an additional clean with water and solvent or a suitable spray. Insert the new filter with a new O-ring (lubricate the O-ring before fitting, using old oil is acceptable). Remove the cover from the compartment and fill with 20W-50 lubricant through the upper hole.
