To replace the air filter on a Harley Davidson Sportster 1200, loosen the two screws securing the chrome cover of the casing located on the right side of the bike, under the fuel tank. Once the cover is removed, you can loosen the screws underneath that secure the actual filter. The filter can now be pulled out of its housing and replaced with a new spare part. After inserting the new filter into its housing, close the casing with the appropriate screws.
