To replace the clutch cable on the Harley Davidson Sportster, first loosen the bolt that secures the cable at the lever height to the left of the handlebars. Once this end of the cable is free, you can unscrew the bolt that secures the cable support halfway along its run. Then, unscrew the screws that secure the clutch cover to remove it and slide out the other end of the clutch cable. This will allow you to install the new cable, securing both ends properly.
