In order to replace the variator of the Honda Metropolitan, you need to loosen the screws that secure the transmission cover, located on the left side of the motorcycle near the rear wheel. Once this cover is removed, you will be able to see the components underneath. The variator can be removed from its housing by loosening the central nut and also detaching the belt around it. Once the belt is removed, you can take out the variator and install the new piece, covering everything back up with the transmission cover.
