First, wait until the engine is sufficiently cool, then position a container underneath it, locate the drain bolt, and unscrew it using a 12 mm socket. Allow all the oil in the system to drain out, open the filter housing, and clean the filter of any dirt residue. At this point, simply reassemble everything, remove the exhaust cover, and pour in the new oil through the designated hole.
