To replace the valve cover on the Husqvarna 701 SM, loosen the bolts securing the seat to its housing so that it can be removed. This will give you access to the components underneath: in the central area, you will locate the valve cover, which can be detached simply by pulling it out by hand.

You can then insert the new valve cover into its place, securing it properly; once the cover is secured, you can refit the seat.
