How to Adjust the Handbrake on a Hyundai I30

In this guide, learn how to adjust the handbrake on your Hyundai I30. Use a screwdriver to remove the cover inside the armrest to access the screws, then take off the plastic cover to reach the handbrake adjustment screw without dismantling the entire console. You will notice that the screw is very loose; while operating the handbrake lever, it should not have more than 3 or 4 clicks. Use a spanner to tighten the nut to the desired tension, making adjustments as needed. Once you achieve the correct tension, replace the plastic cover and the mat inside the armrest.
