How to Repair Squeaky Brakes on a Hyundai IX 20

In this tutorial video, see how to repair squeaky brakes on a Hyundai IX 20. Secure the car with a stone or any other object to block the wheels. Release the handbrake and put the car in neutral. Loosen the wheel nuts while the wheel is still on the ground, then lift the vehicle using a hydraulic jack and place safety stands. Continue to remove the nuts and then take off the wheel. Unscrew the brake caliper bolts with a 14 mm spanner and then remove them. Position a container to catch dirt under the brake caliper. Remove the brake caliper; if it doesn’t come off, use a screwdriver to help. Remove the bracket with the pads (the bolts may vary, ensure you reassemble them correctly). Remove some rust with a wire brush; the clips will fit more easily. Use lubricant spray and fit the clips; apply some silicone grease on the outside to make refitting the caliper easier. Clean the discs with brake pad cleaner. Refit the bracket with the pads (use reasonable force to tighten the bolts). The holes on the piston must align with the pin on the pad; refit the caliper bolts. Test the discs as shown in the video.
