Jeep Cherokee - Video tutorial

Model: Jeep Cherokee MK 5, KL - Years 2013-2023
Part: Headlight bulb
Operation: Low beam replacement on Jeep Cherokee

Using an 8 mm socket wrench, unscrew the three screws that secure the front wheel arch. Then with a lever or a flat-head screwdriver detach it a little at a time until it is completely removed, as shown in the video. At this point you can see the seat of the dipped beam headlight: unscrew the rear cover by hand and then unscrew the connector that will come out of the seat together with the bulb. Take out the light bulb and that's it. Insert the new bulb and screw everything back on. As you can see, it is a rather simple operation although it must be accessed from below, and therefore from the wheel arch, rather than from the engine compartment.

We start by inserting the key but leaving it in the initial position, after which we keep the accelerator pedal fully depressed and at the same time turn on the instrument panel. At this point, always keeping the accelerator pressed, press the brake pedal 5 consecutive times and, with the pedals in position, turn off the ignition. We check that the procedure has been successful by starting the vehicle.
