Resetting the Service Light on a Jeep Renegade

Model: Jeep Renegade - Years 2014-2021

First of all, do not perform the reset unless you have actually carried out the service, as failing to do so can lead to serious damage to the engine and other parts of the vehicle. First, get in the car and turn on the ignition (but not the engine!). Scroll through the various pages on the instrument panel until you reach the section regarding the regular service. Once there, press the accelerator pedal three times, fully to the end of its travel. The service light will be reset and will disappear from the instrument panel. Turn off the engine and restart it as a final check.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
