How to Reset the Service Light on Jeep Renegade

If the service warning light appears on the instrument cluster display, it means it is time (either due to mileage or time elapsed) to perform maintenance, including at least an oil change and filter replacement: this maintenance can easily be done as a DIY task, provided you dispose of the waste properly at a specialised collection centre; once the regular maintenance is completed, you can proceed to reset the SERVICE light: this is a manual procedure that does not require any diagnostic tools and is performed using the accelerator pedal; therefore, turn on the ignition without starting the engine and within 10 seconds, press the accelerator pedal three times to the floor.
