To change the motor oil of a Kawasaki Ninja 500, start by making sure that the motorcycle is on a flat surface and that the engine is warm, as warm oil drains better. Lift the motorcycle with a stand, if necessary, for better access to the oil pan. Place a container under the engine to collect the old oil. Remove the oil drain plug located under the engine using a wrench, being careful not to burn yourself with the hot oil. Let the old oil drain completely. Once the oil has been fully drained, put the drain plug back on and tighten it properly. Next, fill the engine with new oil using a funnel to avoid spills and pouring the oil slowly through the fill hole. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes so that the new oil is well distributed inside the engine. After turning off the engine, check for any leaks around the drain plug and make sure the oil level is correct. If necessary, add more oil.
