To replace the piston on a Kawasaki KX 450, loosen all the bolts securing the engine block to its mounts, completely removing it after disconnecting the hoses and connectors. This must be detached from the conrod by widening the retaining ring and removing the appropriate pin; you can then insert the new piston, securing it properly and closing the engine.
