In order to replace the motor oil of the Aprilia Shiver 900, you need to loosen the screws that secure the engine guard plate located on the bottom of the vehicle: once the screws holding the plate are loosened, it will be possible to detach it and locate the drain plug of the oil pan. By removing this plug, you will be able to collect all the old oil inside a properly positioned container; at this point, you can drain all the oil and remove the filter located at the bottom of the motorcycle. Once the filter is replaced, you can top up the oil through the vent located on the right side of the motorcycle.
