First, wait for the engine to cool sufficiently, then remove the lower fairing and position a container underneath the bike. Next, locate the drain bolt, unscrew it using an 18mm socket, and let all the oil drain from the system. Then, remove the old filter, tighten the new one and the bolt, and add new oil through the designated hole.
