How to Remove and Possibly Replace the Key Shell of a Kia Sportage

Model: Kia Sportage SL, MK 3 - Years 2010-2016
Part: Key

To remove the key of a Kia car, start by removing the cover on the side of the key where the battery is located. Do this by simply prying off the small cover. Once done, you can also remove the battery itself. At this point, separate the remaining two parts of the shell. Place the actual key in the closed position and, using a screwdriver, pry near the pivot point of the key and you’re done! Now you can replace any part of the key that needs it.
