How to Change the Remote Battery of the Kia Sportage

In this article, you will see the procedure to replace the battery of the Kia Sportage remote. You will need a CR2032 battery. First, remove the emergency key by pressing the button on the side of the key; while holding it down, pull the key out. Once extracted, use the key to pry between the two closures as shown in the video tutorial, lever to remove the rear cover. Once the cover is removed, you will have access to the battery compartment, so pull out the compartment by pulling the rubber as shown in the video; once removed, push on the side of the battery to extract and replace it. Once replaced, insert the compartment back into its housing, close the remote, and reinsert the emergency key into its slot.
