Part: Key

Video tutorial

The key for the Kia Sportage, like most car remotes, operates with a 3-volt button battery easily identifiable by the CR2032 code printed or engraved on it. To replace it, you will need two small screwdrivers, one flat and one cross-head. Use the flat screwdriver to pry off the lower cover of the remote while using the cross-head screwdriver to undo the four screws holding the battery compartment cover in place.

At this point, the cover panel can be removed by lifting it with your fingers, allowing you to replace the key battery.
