How to Change the Engine Oil in a Kia Niro

Model: Kia Niro SG2 - Years 2021-2026
Part: Engine oil

Video tutorial

To change the engine oil in the Kia Niro, park the car on a flat surface and turn off the engine, allowing it to cool for a few minutes. Open the bonnet and unscrew the oil filler cap. Then, lift the vehicle with a jack and locate the oil drain plug under the engine.

Position a container and unscrew the plug to let the used oil drain completely. Once the circuit is emptied, re-screw the drain plug and remove the oil filter, replacing it with a new one. Lower the car and pour the manufacturer's specified amount of oil into the engine bay. Close the cap, start the engine for a few minutes, and check the level with the dipstick, adding oil if necessary.
