This guide shows how to change the engine oil of the KTM Duke 125. The procedure is quite simple to execute and does not require special tools. After safely securing the motorcycle and removing the engine protection grille, unscrew the bolt at the bottom of the engine and let the used oil drain out. This oil must be disposed of at a proper recycling centre. On the right side of the engine, towards the front, unscrew the two screws securing the oil filter housing cover. Using needle-nose pliers, pull out the filter element; let the oil drain out. Now, install the new filter and close the housing. On the left side of the engine, at the bottom, there is a bolt to unscrew. Be careful of any remaining oil. Clean the existing filter and replace the O-ring on the cap. Once this housing is closed, top up the oil reservoir using the appropriate cap. The required oil quantity is about 1.5 litres if replacing the filter; otherwise, 1.2 litres will suffice.
