To change the engine oil on a KTM EXC 525, loosen the screws securing the skid plate located at the bottom of the bike. Once this plate is completely removed, you will be able to locate the drain plug, which can be unscrewed to collect all the used oil in a suitably positioned container. After all the oil has drained out, remove the oil filter from its housing just above the sprocket; then, insert the new oil through the breather on the right side of the engine casing.
