How to change the engine oil in a KTM EXC 450?

To change the engine oil in a KTM EXC 450, start by warming up the engine for a few minutes to make the oil more fluid. Turn off the engine and place the bike on a stable stand.

Locate the oil drain plug underneath the engine. Place a catch basin under the plug and unscrew it with an appropriate spanner, allowing the old oil to drain completely.

After the oil has fully drained, re-screw the drain plug and ensure it is tight. Locate the oil filler cap, usually situated on one side of the engine.

Remove the cap and, using a funnel, slowly pour in the recommended amount of new oil as indicated in the user manual. After pouring in the oil, replace the filler cap and tighten it securely.

Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to ensure the new oil is distributed evenly. Check for any oil leaks, and the job is complete.
