To replace the rear shock absorber on the Kymco Xciting S 400i, open the under-seat compartment and loosen all the screws that secure the internal drawer. In addition to these screws, you will also need to loosen those that secure the side fairings of the bike to make the operation easier.

After all obstructing parts have been removed, you can loosen the bolts that secure the shock absorbers, both at the top and bottom. Then, the new shock absorbers can be secured, and all previously removed parts can be reinstalled.
