How to Change the Transmission Oil on Kymco Downtown 300

Model: Kymco Downtown 300i
Part: Air filter

Video tutorial

It is recommended to use Bardahl 80w90 lubricant. Measure 210 ml of product using a syringe, unscrew the lower (drain) and upper (fill) nuts; removing both at once prevents a vacuum and allows the oil to drain quickly.

Collect the waste oil in a container, and when it has all drained out, replace the lower nut (preferably using a torque wrench, to 20 Nm). Using the syringe, insert the new lubricant. Replace the upper nut, and you're done! It is advisable to perform this maintenance every 20,000 miles; although not mandatory, it can prevent unpleasant issues.
