To dismantle the transmission of the Kymco Downtown 300i, remove the outer plastic cover by loosening the corresponding bolts. A second inner cover will need to be removed to access the transmission: here you can loosen the nut of the central pin of the variator and slide it out. The same operation should be performed for the clutch: by loosening the nut, you can remove the bell and the internal discs. After removing the variator and clutch, the belt can be extracted and replaced along with all other removed parts. Once the replacement is complete, you can refit the cover.
