How to replace the tailgate switch in the Land Rover Discovery?

In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the tailgate switch in the Land Rover Discovery 3, a very simple operation. If the tailgate is stuck and the switch is broken, open it by pressing and holding the two buttons to the right of the hazard light button for 3 seconds, then locate the switch in question and, using a flathead screwdriver, pry it out of the housing. Next, cut the two wires, strip them, and connect them to the replacement wires. You can either solder them or use simple connectors. Finally, reinsert the switch into the housing.
