How to Start Diesel Regeneration on Mahindra Thar

Diesel engines equipped with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) need to regenerate periodically. This is to prevent dangerous blockages that can cause engine overheating and serious damage. When the particulate filter begins its regeneration, we notice it by a persistent operation of the engine fan. This also happens in the Mahindra Thar, and when we hear this warning signal, if possible, drive at a steady speed of 60-70 mph at around 2500 RPM for about 15 minutes, or at least until the fan turns off. If this is not possible, we must at least keep the engine running until the fan turns off. Interrupting a regeneration midway is quite harmful.
