In this video, we see how to clean the diesel particulate filter of a Ford Tourneo Connect with LiquiMoly Pro Line, which can be found on Amazon with the code B0054Z8DFK at the price of £15.38, with free delivery for Prime customers. This is a cleaning product that dissolves particulates and neutralises: through rinsing, it neutralises the detergent and removes residues.

You need to remove the temperature sensor from the body of the particulate filter to create an access point, and use a pressure lance connected to a compressor. Insert the lance into the sensor hole and spray the detergent inside the filter, changing direction to wet the entire surface.

Allow it to act for 15 minutes. Refit the sensor and start the engine, bringing it up to temperature, and perform a forced regeneration using the diagnostic tool.

After the forced regeneration, it is advisable to change the engine oil, as the injected diesel to increase the temperature may have diluted the oil.
