How to replace the differential pressure sensor of the particulate filter on the Ford Kuga.

On the Ford Kuga, the differential pressure sensor of the DPF is connected to the particulate filter via two tubes: one for high pressure and one for low pressure. With the engine cold and the vehicle secured, locate the sensor on the engine compartment side (usually mounted on a bracket near the heat shield or battery). Disconnect the electrical connector by pressing the tab, then detach the two tubes, carefully noting their orientation (the “HI” inlet towards the upstream point of the DPF, and the “LO” inlet towards the downstream point). Remove the screws from the bracket and free the component. Install the new sensor on the bracket, reconnect the tubes respecting the exact HI/LO position, and snap the connector into place. Check that the tubes are not cracked or blocked; if they are hardened, replace them. Start the engine and check for leaks and the integrity of the wiring. To restore alerts, enter diagnostic mode and reset the fault codes, then perform a reset of the DPF sensor's adaptive parameters if required. After a short drive, check that the check engine light remains off and that the differential pressure values are within normal range.
