How to Clean the Diesel Particulate Filter on the Ford Kuga?

To clean the diesel particulate filter, it must be removed: it is located at the bottom of the vehicle, near the driver's side door. Using a 15mm spanner, remove the sensor and also disconnect the differential pressure reading pipes.

The filter can then be disconnected from the exhaust by simply removing the nuts that secure the two pieces. Once removed, the filter should be washed with a high-pressure water jet: after it has been cleaned, it can be reinstalled along with all the previously removed parts.
