To replace the battery in a Ford Kuga, open the bonnet and locate the battery, usually positioned on the right side of the engine bay and protected by a plastic cover that needs to be removed to access the terminals. Ensure the vehicle is off and start by disconnecting the negative terminal first, then the positive for safety.

Next, unscrew the bracket or support that holds the battery in place and carefully remove it, being mindful of its weight. Insert the new battery into the same housing and ensure it is secure.

Reattach the support, reconnect the terminals starting with the positive and then the negative, checking that they are tight. Refit any protective covers, close the bonnet, and start the vehicle to verify that all electrical systems are functioning correctly.
