In this video, the YouTuber, who is a professional mechanic, tests a product for repairing head gasket seals for us. This is a widely available product called "Steel Seal" available on Amazon with the code B0DQV2SSDC for a price of 79.99 euros for a 600g bottle: free one-day delivery for Prime customers. The treatment should be done on a cold engine, obviously after a diagnosis has determined what the problem is. Pour the entire bottle into the radiator expansion tank, start the engine and bring it to operating temperature, then let it idle for 30 minutes. Turn it off and let it cool completely, then top up the coolant to the maximum level. For engines up to 2.5 liters, one bottle is enough; for engines up to 4 liters, two are needed; for engines over 4 liters, three are required. Before the treatment, there were hydrocarbons in the coolant, engine overheating, and coolant leaking violently. After the treatment, the hydrocarbon test was negative, the temperature stable at 105°C, the fans were working properly, and there was no coolant leakage. The YouTuber who tested it was initially skeptical, but had to change his mind, although he still considers it a temporary solution rather than a permanent repair.
