How to Replace the Cabin Filter on a Ford Fiesta MK6

Let's see how to replace the cabin filter on a Ford Fiesta MK6: the entire operation takes place on a right-hand drive vehicle, so move the driver's seat all the way back for space. Look under the pedals: you will find a black plastic retaining rivet; use a flat screwdriver to lever in the centre of the rivet to unlock it, and remove the outer collar of the rivet. Once removed, pull out the plastic cover under the dashboard. Now you will see the cabin filter compartment, closed by a rectangular plastic flange, then unscrew all 4 screws: the flange is now free. Remove the old filter and observe the direction of installation, so you can fit the new one the same way. Clean the compartment well, then place the new filter in position. Reposition the plastic flange, reattach the cover under the dashboard, insert the outer collar, then push the central part until you hear a "click", and that's it.
