Removing the external rear-view mirror glass

Model: Mazda 3 BM, MK 3, BN - Years 2013-2019
Part: Side mirror

In this video tutorial we will see how to replace the mirror glass of a Mazda 3, in simple steps. First we must go and turn the mirror completely, adjusting it from the inside, as shown in the video: at this point we will simply pry the sides in order to unhook and remove it; if it is chipped or shattered we will try to gently extract all the pieces of the glass, without cutting ourselves (use gloves and a plastic lever). So let's reassemble the new glass and check if all the rear hooks are intact: otherwise we will have to solve the problem before reassembling the new glass.

Use a spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the tensioner pulley bolt, and remove the water pump as shown in the video. Fit the new water pump, the tensioner, and the belt itself, tightening everything with the socket wrench. Finally, reinstall the radiator with the securing bolts.
