Mazda 3 - Video tutorial

Model: Mazda 3 BK, MK 1 - Years 2003-2009
Part: Key
Operation: Reprogramming the remote control key

You know, without the car key, it becomes unusable. These keys are reprogrammable without problems, in case one of them starts to go wrong. Don't despair, it is a procedure that is easy to learn, here it is. But remember that it only works on remote control keys and that it can be done with one key at a time, as well as obviously the defective one. Get into the car, taking care to bring both your keys with you of course, remove it from the ignition (if there was one) and close the doors. Then just open the driver's door and without starting the car, turn it on 3 times; then close and open the door 3 times. Once this is done, press the close and open button on each remote control; now, the first key should no longer work if you did everything right. It is perhaps a little cumbersome job, but certainly easy.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
