How do you reset the Service indicator light on the Mercedes R-Class?

The Service indicator that is shown on the instrument panel of the Mercedes R-Class can be reset by turning on the instrument panel by inserting the key into the ignition and then moving through the menu using the arrow buttons on the left side of the steering wheel: you must proceed until you have access to the "Service menu". At this point, you must select the "Confirmation" option and then "Full service": by holding down the MENU button on the left side of the steering wheel, you can make the indicator disappear from the instrument panel. Finally, the instrument panel can be turned off by removing the key from the ignition.
