How to replace the gear knob on a Mercedes Vito? Watch this video for disassembly instructions: use a plastic lever to disconnect the leather gaiter frame, then release the securing plastic of the knob and remove it from the gear stick. For reassembly: take the new knob and slide it onto the stick, securing it with the appropriate plastics. After fitting the knob: insert the new gaiter and secure it to the centre tunnel. Finally, test the correct operation of the knob with the movement of the stick on the centre tunnel.
