Replacing the Seat Belt Tensioner

If after pulling the seat belt to wear it, it has difficulty retracting and remains practically unrolled, hanging loosely, there is a problem with the retraction system: it involves a ratchet that preloads a spring when the belt is pulled, allowing it to retract when released; this spring can become damaged to the point where retraction is no longer possible; therefore, you need to replace the entire system located beneath the plastic cover of the door pillar: remove the cover, unscrew the mounting bolts of the tensioner, and pull it out of its housing, unroll the belt, remove the retaining clip to pass the belt through the loop by extracting the plastic pin inside; then proceed in reverse to install the new tensioner.
