Replacing the Silent Block Bush

Model: Mercedes Clk A208, W208, C208 - Years 1997-2003

If the rubber bush attached to the suspension arm connected to the steering rack tie rod fails, it can be replaced quickly and economically; lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands to relieve the suspension and without removing the front wheel, free the suspension arm from the tie rod end of the steering rack and remove the rear mounting bolt to extract the arm from its housing; before loosening the fixing bolt of the clamp that houses the bush, measure the position of the bush with a caliper to position the new one at the same height; proceed in reverse for installation.
