Mercedes Clk - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Clk W208 - Years 1997-2003
Part: Bushings
Operation: Replacement bushings silent block swing arm suspension

When the silent block bushings of the oscillating arms of the suspensions fail, a lot of noises are heard in the passenger compartment, especially when driving on rough terrain: the collapse of the rubber part is no longer able to attenuate and dampen vibrations; in these cases it is possible to opt for the replacement of the entire oscillating arm or for its regeneration by replacing only the bushings: in any case it is necessary to lift the car and remove the front wheel; then proceed with the disassembly of the fixing pins of the oscillating arm and it would be better to disassemble it completely to replace the bench bushings; but if you want to avoid it, support the suspension with a jack and lower the bush seat in order to extract the old one by making a cut with a hacksaw blade; once the old bushing has been removed, insert the new one with a hammer and reinstall the swinging arm.

Fiat Ducato 2.8 JTD gearbox oil replacement

Let's see in this guide the main steps to be able to change the transmission oil of the second series Fiat Ducato, with 2.8 JTD engine. First of all we lift the car and go to locate the gear oil vent bolt, which we find near the transmission; we use a hex wrench to unscrew it, letting it drain the old oil in a container for about ten minutes. At this point we open the bonnet and remove the air intake sleeve, so as to be able to access the gearbox oil filling hole; then we fill up to the maximum level!
