Replacing the Rear Shock Absorber

Replacing the rear shock absorbers is significantly simpler than replacing the front ones, as the spring and damper are not co-axial, so there is no need for special clamps to compress the spring; therefore, lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands, access the boot area, and move the side carpet covering to remove the nuts securing the shock absorber stem; at this point, remove the plastic cover from the rear suspension wishbone and unscrew the fixing bolt of the shock absorber eye to be able to slide it out; then proceed in reverse for the installation of the new shock absorber.
