How to Reposition the Rear Headrests of a Mercedes CLK W209

Model: Mercedes Clk W209, A209, C209 - Years 2002-2010
Part: Seat

If the rear headrests have popped out and need to be lowered, simply pushing them down will not suffice as they need to be re-engaged. First, obtain a special tool to go alongside the headrest to press and release the locking spring of the headrest itself: a thin, non-flexing rod, such as a TIG welding rod, will work perfectly. Insert the rod alongside the headrest, trying to intercept the spring to be released, then press the headrest down until it clicks back into place.
