In order to reset the automatic transmission of the Mercedes CLK, you need to insert the ignition key into the ignition switch, so that the instrument panel lights up. Once the instrument panel is on, you can press the accelerator pedal for about a minute, without starting the engine. Then you need to turn the ignition key back to turn off the instrument panel; waiting a few minutes, you can give the transmission control unit the opportunity to reset and restore the settings to the default ones.
