Reprogramming Your Car's ECU

Model: Mercedes Clk A208, W208, C208 - Years 1997-2003

In the following steps of this guide, you will learn how to correctly reset your car's ECU. First, ensure that your vehicle is turned off and disconnected from power for at least 10 to 11 hours to prevent any unpleasant damage. When ready, open the bonnet of your car. Remove the cover from the battery compartment, identify the positive battery connector, and disconnect it. Be careful not to let the positive terminal touch the negative one. After 10 hours, reconnect the positive connector to the corresponding terminal of the car battery. Close the bonnet securely, remove the protective plastic from the cable, reconnect it to the battery, ensuring the nut is tightened firmly with a spanner, then cover the battery with its protection and close the bonnet. At this point, your ECU should be successfully reset.
